Massad Ayoob's
Level 1 Handgun Class

Taught by Massad Ayoob on Sat. - Tue., July 24-27, 2010 at the
Firearms Academy of Seattle Tactical Training Range, east of Chehalis, WA

Massad Ayoob, author of the authoritative text "In the Gravest Extreme: the Role of the Firearm in Personal Protection," has crafted this NEW 40 hour program to teach armed citizens "the rules of engagement."

Born of Ayoob's 30 years as an expert witness in court in self-defense shooting, this course teaches the core elements of decision-making in the use of lethal force.

Students will learn --

how to articulate why they decided to fire
the subtleties of taking violent offenders at gunpoint
how to interact subsequently with witnesses, responding officers, investigating officers, and the press
and much, much more.

The live fire portion of the program, taught by champion combat shooters, includes--

quick draw from concealment
one-handed shooting with either hand
a variety of two-handed techniques for maximum efficiency
and use of cover techniques
all with emphasis on a combination of accuracy and speed.

Students will need note-taking materials, ear and eye protection, brimmed caps, rain gear, and functional handgun with at least three magazines or speedloaders, safe holster, ammunition pouches, and 500 rounds of ammunition.

Due to the nature of the instruction, we must require that students have a valid, state-issued permit or license to carry a concealed weapon, or a letter from your local law enforcement agency showing that they have performed a background check on you and that you have no criminal history.
