HEATH GUNNS

Heath Gunns is a certified police firearms instructor, Marine Corps veteran and has been a part of the F.A.S. Instructor Staff since 1998. He currently teaches as lead instructor for Defensive Shotgun, Defensive Handgun and Tactical Handgun classes. His background and experience as an active, serving patrol officer adds a street perspective to his knowledge of survival tactics, and his exposure to a large number of different trainers and programs allows him to separate the wheat from the chaff.

In addition to being certified by The Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission as a police firearms instructor and The Firearms Academy of Seattle, Inc., he also is certifed by the National Rifle Association, Taser International, and Lethal Force Institute, the last being both as a StressFire Instructor, and Use of Deadly Force Instructor.
