2018 NW Tactical Conference

The Famous Rangemaster Tactical Conference is coming to the
Pacific Northwest in the form of:

To be held…

July 27-29, 2018 | The Firearms Academy of Seattle

NOTE FROM TOM GIVENS: We try to keep the Tactical Conference centrally located in the US, so that as many practitioners as possible may attend. That’s why it is usually in Memphis or Little Rock or other central location. There are a number of committed students of The Art in the Pacific Northwest, which is still a really long way from Tennessee or Arkansas. To accommodate them, we will be holding a regional conference at The Firearms Academy of Seattle (FAS) in July 2018. FAS is located between Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon, and is a very nice training facility with numerous ranges and a modern classroom.

The dates are July 27-29, 2018, Friday through Sunday. This will be a smaller event than the national conference, with about 100 attendees, plus staff and trainers. We have an impressive array of trainers presenting two hour and four hour blocks of instruction, including live fire with handgun, shotgun and carbine; classroom instruction on a variety of topics; and hands-on training in empty hands skills and immediate trauma care. The trainers include Tom & Lynn Givens, Massad Ayoob, Marty Hayes, John Holschen, Lee Weems, John Hearne, John Murphy, Gabe White, Tiffany Johnson, Karl Rehn, Cecil Burch, William Aprill, Lori Bigley, Caleb Causey, and Belle McCormack. That’s a total of sixteen well respected trainers presenting instruction over three full days of training! There will also be a defensive pistol match concurrent with the training events.

Advance registration is required.

The trainers present two-hour to four-hour blocks of instruction in their area of expertise. You may attend whichever blocks you desire, and as many blocks as time allows over a three-day period. Attendance is open to adults who believe competent training is important and who wish to advance their knowledge of the defensive arts.

Don’t miss out on this event. We expect it to fill to capacity.

Pacific NW Gunsite Classes

The Firearms Academy of Seattle is honored to be chosen by the worlds’ premier firearms training school, GUNSITE ACADEMY to be the host range for an off-site class in the year 2018. Gunsite was started in 1976 by Lt. Col. Jeff Cooper, and holds the distinction of having been the first, and most people would agree, the most prestigious firearms training school in the nation.

If you have always wanted to attend a Gunsite Academy course, but simply never was able to do so because of time and/or money constraints, and you live in the Pacific Northwest, here is your chance.

A note to FAS students from Director Marty Hayes:

“Just because you have taken training from FAS in the past, it doesn’t mean you should not branch out and take additional training from other instructors. The skills and materials may be similar, but I guarantee you there is new stuff you will learn. Additionally, shooting skills are perishable, and one needs to continue to train to hold on to those skills they do possess, as especially as we get older. I recommend Gunsite Academy without reservation.” --Marty Hayes

Seattle 150 Three Day Pistol Class

This offsite class is a unique introduction to Gunsite training. The 150 Pistol class is 3 days of Gunsite teaching methods covering the Modern Technique of the pistol!

This is an excellent opportunity for first time students to learn Gunsite doctrine. It is also a great refresher for our alumni graduates. If you have always wanted the Gunsite Experience, this is your chance to do so while limiting your travel and time.

We will cover the Combat Triad – marksmanship, gun handling and mindset. As with all our courses, safety will drive everything we do as you progress during 3 days of the world‘s premier pistol training.

Dates: 2019 TBA
