Steve Fisher: Low Light Handgun

This course is geared to all shooters who have an understanding of weapons manipulation and safety. Students will be able to focus on these critical low light skills and will receive ample amount of practical application in a low light environment.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
A functional firearm chambered in any centerfire caliber based on the course you have selected carbine or pistol
Ammunition: 400 rounds minimum for 1 day courses. 800 rounds minimum for 2 day courses. (extra is always a good thing)
Quality holster and belt for handgun courses
Magazine pouch and or pockets are suitable
6 magazines minimum for handgun courses (students with single stack pistols should have twice that)
6 magazines for carbine courses
Quality sling for carbine courses
Electronic hearing protection is preferred
Knee pads
Headlamp and handheld light weapon light (if attending low light course)
2 chem lights (if attending low light course)
Spare batteries for lights, lasers, optics, and ear pro
Food and water/energy drinks for the day plan on staying at the range to eat we do not take hour lunch breaks 30 min max given some locations do not have food close by
Clothing appropriate for the weather to spend the entire day outside.
PLEASE ARRIVE TO CLASS WITH MAGAZINES ALREADY LOADED.

Pre-Requisite: Prior training drawing from a holster and solid gun handling and manipulations. We strongly recommend students to have taken our Level 2: Defensive Handgun or an equivalent class from another reputable school. If you have any questions, please contact us.

About the Instructor:

STEVE “YETI” FISHER – OWNER & LEAD INSTRUCTOR OF SENTINEL CONCEPTS

Steve Fisher has been the owner/lead instructor for Sentinel Concepts since 2014. He also is a contract instructor for numerous ranges in Michigan and has been a staff instructor for EAG Tactical.

Steve’s career as a trainer started in the 90’s, first at NTFT and then later as the owner/ lead trainer of MDFI, both Michigan-based companies, and served as one of the primary Instructors for Magpul Dynamics. He was responsible for the development of new programs and tactics for several local police departments and new training curriculum’s based on low light, home defense and the use of the carbine, handgun, and shotgun in various roles.

Steve has been featured in SWAT Magazine, Recoil Magazine, Breach-Bang-Clear, and has written for both SWAT Magazine and Surefire Combat Tactics. He is a product designer for Tuff Products and provides product development insight for companies like Nighthawk Customs, Midwest Industries, FN, Trijicon, Agency Arms, Surefire and Robar to name a few.

Over the years Steve has participated in numerous training programs from notable instructors in the industry as well as many local level schools and stays active on both sides of the training industry. He is also an avid hunter and has a history in the outdoor/hunting television community as both a hunter and cameraman.
