In order for The Firearms Academy of Seattle, Inc. to maintain a high degree of integrity and effectiveness in our programs, it is essential that you understand the following information BEFORE enrolling in an F.A.S. course. Our courses fill rapidly -- often as far in advance as 6 weeks prior to the scheduled class. Guest-instructed courses often fill within weeks of their announcement on this website. Please register as early as you are able.
To enroll in an F.A.S. course, you need to do the following:
- Read the course description, prerequisites and other requirements for students. Register by clicking the link at the bottom of desired course description.
* Online registration is preferred as it immediately reserves your place in class, many of which fill rapidly.
- Print out and complete this registration form and send or Fax to F.A.S. at the address on the printable form.
* We advise that you call to check class availability before mailing in a registration form.
- You may also register by phone by calling 1-360-978-6100, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday-Friday with VISA or MasterCard number.
Registrants are sent a confirmation letter, map to the range, and other information needed to attend the class.
Please understand that due to the advanced nature of the material presented, it is necessary to "screen" those private citizens to whom we teach police based, advanced self-defense and firearms instruction. F.A.S. requires a valid State Issued Concealed Weapons Permit, police ID or military ID, presented to the instructor before training begins for all courses except Level 1 Rifle, Defensive Shotgun, Fundamentals of Home Defense, Concealed Carry 101 and the Handgun Safety Seminar. Students in these programs will be required to sign a statement that they are legally allowed to own handguns prior to participation.
Deposits or prepaid tuition are required to register in a class and when you submit your registration you are committing to attend that class. Online registration is set up to handle the entire tuition fee, but if you prefer to make a non-refundable tuition deposit of 1/2 Tuition for multiple day classes, you can mail in your registration (see form here) or call us at 360-978-6100 and we will do the paperwork for you. Students are asked to prepay the full tuition for one-day classes or Special Interest Seminars.
Cancellations: If you register for a class on-line (and pay the required full tuition) but at least one week before class you make arrangements with us to re-schedule your participation in the class, then we will either refund your entire fee, or transfer it to a different class, at your choice. We will do that ONLY ONCE! If you simply do not show for a class, consider your class tuition forfeited. This is no different than if you bought an airline ticket then didn’t show for the flight. Upon receipt of your payment and registration form, you will be sent maps and directions to the range, and all other information necessary to attend the classes, including equipment lists, and lodging information for Centralia/Chehalis. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call, Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
It is necessary to pre-register for all F.A.S. classes.
