Building upon the “Practice with Purpose” curriculum, Train for Mastery is an extended class, designed to teach you how to practice effectively, and train towards a high-level shooting goal. In addition to all topics covered in the 1-day “Practice with Purpose” class, students will also learn about advanced movement and exercises, building their own effective drills from match data, more in-depth analysis of their practice logs, and advanced drill and exercise breakdown techniques. Fast-paced and very intensive, students should come prepared to take lots of notes, and watch their practice routines change drastically and – hopefully – for the better.

This is a collaborative class between Tim Herron and AJ Zito, built entirely around one concept: Showing you how to practice.

Concealed Carry 101 was born out of the need to quickly and efficiently get students "up and running" with self-defense and concealed carry handgun skills. We frequently pair this class on a weekend with our Level 1: Intro to Handguns class, which is the mandatory pre-requisite for this class, to give students an opportunity to train for an entire weekend.

Concealed Carry 102 picks up where our Level 1: Concealed Carry 101 class left off giving students more range time working from a holster before moving onto other training. Range instruction includes refining the draw stroke, accuracy out to 15 yards, reloads and manipulations, malfunction clearing, and an introduction to use of cover.

This 2-day class is designed to allow the hunter, soldier, law enforcement officer or armed citizen to work with their scoped centerfire rifle in simulated field positions. It fills the gap between Level One Rifle and Precision Rifle, and complements the Tactical Rifle curriculum. Shooting from a bench or prone is great for shooting little groups, but in the field, a bench is usually absent and grass or brush typically negate the prone shot.

Many myths surround the combat shotgun. This eight hour course will dispel these myths, replacing them with the correct knowledge and skills necessary to use the shotgun for self-defense or law enforcement duty.

Shooting at moving targets and shooting while moving are two things we always need more practice at. In addition to more reps on the skills we learned in Tac Rifle or Close Quarter's Carbine, we will also shoot the mover on the carbine range which is usually only shot during Precision Rifle. It is also one that is nearly impossible to practice on a public range, so this special interest seminar gives F.A.S. graduates the chance to refresh these skills under the watchful eye of our instructors.
